Day 01: Srinagar- Zojila- Drass- Kargil ( Approx
5 - 6 hrs)
After Pickup from Srinagar Airport and drive to
Kargil via Sonamarg - (Lunch on the Way) driving
through Sonamarg and crossing the Zoji-la pass
(11,500-ft. / 3,505 mtrs) en-route. On the way,
there are halts at Sonamarg a pristine valley with
lush views and snow-clad peak; Zo jila Pass (a high
altitude pass); Drass Village- the world's 2nd
coldest inhabitant place. Here you visit War
memorial hall and Museum- also known as Vijaypath.
The memorial was constructed by the Indian Army in
the memory of the soldiers and officers of the
Indian Army who laid their lives in Kargil War.
Overnight in the hotel at Kargil.
Day 02: Kargil - Ule via Batalik (160 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Morning after breakfast leave for Ule by
visiting/crossing Batalik(one of the most famous war
fought by the Indian soldiers in 1999 with Pakistan
at this place)this route is also opened for tourist
in 2010, Silmo,Dha,Beema(it's a lovly village of the
Aryans who still lives there), Reach Ule by Evening.
Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 03 : Kargil - Lamayuru- via Alchi Monastery
(Indus Zanskar River Conference ) - Magnetic Hill -
Leh ( Approx 6 hrs)
After Breakfast check out hotel and drive to Leh,
enroute viewing / visiting the dramatically located
Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining "Moonland"
hills forming its backdrop. after visiting the 11th
century Alchi oldest surviving monastic heritage of
Ladakh - a UNESCO listed heritage site. Driving
further on along the Indus, visit Sanagm (confluence
of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), (River RAFTING POINT -
you can rafting here 2 or 3 hrs) after drive to
Magnetic Point, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara & Hall of
Fame (museum of military heritage).
Magnetic hill to marvel at the amazing natural
wonder. Also pay respects to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara-
constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev ji- the
founder of Sikh religion and the first guru .
Continue your road journey. On arrival in Leh, visit
the Hall of Fame Museum a war memorial by the Indian
Army that was founded in the memory of Indian
soldiers who laid lives in Indo-Pak wars. Complete
the check-in formalities at your hotel. Overnight
stay in Leh.
Day 04 : Leh Full Day - Monastery Sightseeing
After morning break fast visiting the most important
monasteries of Ladakh - Shey Palace, Thiksey Gompa
and Hemis monastery .
First we visit the ruined Shey Palace, once the
summer palace of the pre-Tibetan kings. The palace
monastery houses a large, bronze, blue haired Buddha
statue and next stop at superbly situated, 16th
century, Thiksey Gompa, which is perched on a hill
top and continue to visit Hemis Monastery (5 km from
Kharu) is also on the cards. Hemis is the largest
and richest monastery complex in Ladakh. Overnight
stay at hotel.
Day 05 : Leh - Khardungla - Nubra Hunder Valley (
Approx 4 - 5 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Nubra valley over the
Khardung la,(18300feet) highest motor able road in
the World. and Proceed to Diskit Monastery
Diskit Monastery also known as Diskit Gompa or
Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist
monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern
India.
After explores we drive toward the down Hunder past
an area of rolling sand dunes, one can see double
hump Camel and visitors can take a camel safari
dunes at Hundar. Over night in Camp.
Day 06 : Hunder - Turtuk - Hunder ( Approx 2 -3 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Turtuk (which is first time
opened for the tourist in 2010) which is a place
Annexed by India only after the 1971 war, the
village of Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages
in India and lies right next to the LOC. The village
with the whole population of muslims still resembles
mini Pakistan. The village's inhabitants still use
traditional utensils which are crafted from stone.
Explore the village of Turtuk the village offers
views of beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. On
clear days you can have glimpse of K2 mountain peak
located across the border in Pakistan. Though a
muslim village, there are few gompas located on the
plateau above Shyok River and there is a old royal
house to see in village. Return to Hundar by the
evening.
Overnight stay in Camp , Hunder
Day 07 : Hunder - Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake (
Approx 4 hrs)
After breakfast at hotel we drive to next
destination pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tang Tse
and Spangmik ( Pangong). It's a short cut and it's a
beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok river,
and climbs up a mountain before finally descending
into Shayok village. It took us less than an hour to
reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of
the rather big village surrounded by barren
mountains, the entire setting being very
picturesque.
Afternoon we reach at Pangong lake and enjoy your
day at pangong lake. Overnight stay at camp.
Day 08 : Pangong Lake - Hanle via Chushul - Tsaga
La-loma band ( Approx 11 hrs)
Hanle in changthang region of Ladakh is one of the
most beautifully chanting, calm and soul loosing
places in India. Hanle has a lovely hanle monastery
offering some great aerial views of whole village
that is a home of about 1000 people. Hanle monastery
is a 17th century monastery of the Drukpa lineage.
The views from the top of monastery are just breath
taking. Hanle is also house an Indian astronomical
observatory which is the world highest observatory
in the world at a staggering height of 4500 mtrs.
Overnight in guest house.
Day 09: Hanle - Tsomoriri Lake ( Approx 4 hrs)
After breakfast leave for Tsomoriri Lake (14,000
ft),3-4 hrs one way drive on the way visiting
Nyoma-Mahe bridge. Dinner and overnight at
Camp/Hotel in Tsomoriri.
Day 10 : Tsomoriri- Tsokar - Taglangla - Jispa
(17582 ft.)- (Approx 11 hrs) :
After breakfast check out camp drive to Jispa
enroute vsit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the
Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads
and support many rare wild life species. After
sightseeing of the area take the Manali-Leh road and
drive to Jispa,Evening check in Camp and Overnight
stay.
Day 11 : Jispa - Manali
After Breakfast check out camp / hotel and drive to
Manali via Rohtang Pass, Evening drop to the Hotel.
